Cairns Children’s Center is currently running at full capacity but are accepting children on our waitlist.  

Should you be interested in adding your child(ren) to our Nursery, Kindergarten or Before and After school waitlist, please ensure your home residence is located in the catchment area of the school before you enroll - Ecole RHG Bonnycastle School in Waverley Heights.

Once a space is available, we will contact you via email and or telephone to confirm that you wish to proceed with enrollment. You must respond within a set period of time - generally 24 hours, or we will go to the next family on our waitlist. A tour can be booked then, and registration documents will need to be completed prior to your child starting at the center.  Demand for spaces is high, so it’s possible that we will never have a space available for your child’s age group.

Nursery Program

• Nursery Program

  • Ages 3 or 4

  • Monday to Friday from 9:30 am-11:30 am. Closed during Inservices and Winter/Spring/Summer breaks.

School Age Program

• Kindergarten Program

  • Age 5 within that school year

  • Monday to Friday, this program is available from 7am until 9:10am before school drop off, then 12:05pm - pick up, by 6pm at the latest, for children registered in a morning Kindergarten class at Bonnycastle School.

• Before and After School

  • Grades 1-6

  • Offered Monday to Friday from 7:00 am-9:10 am and 3:55pm-6:00pm for children registered at Bonnycastle School (grades 1-4) and either Ecole Viscount Alexander or Arthur A Leach for grades 5 and 6.

  • Full day care is offered during Inservice days and school breaks.
